This great hangar at the South Cariboo Regional Airport is generating much interest. Utilizing the Higher Power bifold door was an important factor for the client and as such we designed and engineered the building to ensure long-lasting functionality with minimal maintenance. The large windows placed high on the endwalls provide great cascading natural light during the day. We owe much gratitude to the entire team collaborating to bring this project to fruition. Olympia Steel Buildings Canada in Partnership with Studio City Toronto and the City of Toronto delivers two of the largest state of the art film studio’s right on the lakeshore found here the heart of the city.
Mayor John Tory and construction firms worked diligently for over a year with architects from RAW and Chief Estimator – George Zakhem from Olympia Steel Buildings Canada to finalize and deliver the reconstructed Don River’s vision of these state of the art film studios.
Construction will continue into late fall 2020.
This fantastic riding arena located in Dunrobin; Ontario was designed by Olympia Steel Buildings of Canada. When the strongest tornado to hit eastern Canada since 1902 shredded the pre-existing fabric riding arena on this property, Olympia Steel Buildings was there with the permanent solution. The arena is 80′ x 200′ x 18′ in size, fully insulated with translucent light panels at the eaves to provide a great splash of natural light. To meet Ottawa building code on this property, the back-side wall is insulated with Roxul 55 fire resist insulation and is sandwiched in between 24-gauge interior and exterior wall paneling.

In conjunction with PJ Lovick Architecture and the serving board of directors George Zakhem our Chief Estimator completed this brand new manufacturing facility with a very positive outlook from ownership on the final product and budget conclusions.
